Robert E. “Bob” Dendy began his manufacturer’s representative agency in about 1977 as “Southwest Pump and Equipment Company, Inc.” with one product line.  After later picking up additional product lines, it became evident that another company name would be more appropriate. 

“PETRO ENERGY, INC.” was incorporated in 1984.  Additional outside sales staff was added.  Les Bryant was hired at about this time.  Les worked for PETRO ENERGY until he passed away in 2015. 

Dean Dendy came to work at PETRO ENERGY after graduating from college.  He has been working full time here ever since then!  Dean covers outside sales for Texas, New Mexico and South Louisiana.  Dean resides in Central Texas. 

Angela (Dendy) Parr joined PETRO ENERGY in 1994.  She manages the office and all accounts payable and receivable for the company. 

PETRO ENERGY added an outside sales Territory Sales Manager in 2017 to assist with sales for part of the region.

After over 40 years of working in the retail petroleum industry as a manufacturer’s rep, Bob Dendy retired from PETRO ENERGY.  Bob passed away in November of 2021.  He loved this industry, and even served on the Board of Directors for PEI.  

PETRO ENERGY is pleased to introduce Justin Prough as Territory Sales Manager to assist with sales in Oklahoma, Arkansas, N. Louisiana & N. Central Texas. Justin resides in the Tulsa, OK area.

Like so many of the companies in our market, PETRO ENERGY, INC. is a family business, and benefits from the long term relationships that we build in our day-to-day activities.  The people we work with become like family, and that makes going to work a real pleasure.  We are looking forward to many more decades in the industry working with you!
